A highly effective joint sealing compound designed to increase the sealing performance of metallic and non-metallic gaskets in applications with operating temperatures that range up to 871ºC. Supplied in paste form (which can be thinned with water when required), Plastiseal F is a “gasket goo” like product which will not shrink, harden or become brittle over time.
When exposed to heat, Plastiseal F will expand to fill any voids in a flange face not taken up by the primary gasket. It will not emit toxic fumes when heated and resists attack from a range of industrial solvents, synthetic lubricating oils and gasoline. It should not be used in applications with water as this will thin the paste.
Temperature Range: To 1600°F 831°C Plastiseal "F" is in paste form and, if necessary, can be thinned with water to a heavy cream consistency. Clean surface to be covered and apply with a brush or with a putty knife. CAUTION: Plastiseal "F" is not intended for use in lines or equipment in contact with water. National Stock Numbers: 8030-01-216-5487 (1lb Cans) General Electric Part Number A50TF74-Class B-Rev. S3
Plastiseal "F" can be applied as a paste or by dipping objects to be coated in the compound. Using a unique combination of ingredients, Plastiseal expands under heat, and will fully expand filling any voids to create a tight, durable seal.
Deacon 3100 is a thermal-reactive flange joint seal compound designed for superior sealing performance on metal-to-metal surfaces. Deacon 3100 maintains flexibility and pliability in its full range of operation and fills voids, cracks, and steam cuts. Deacon 3100 was designed to expand with increased temperature but is otherwise unaffected by thermal cycling. Heat expands Deacon 3100, creating a mechanical-type seal. Deacon 3100 will not cement the flanges together. Deacon 3100 is not affected by thermal cycling. Deacon 3100 is ideally suited for metal-to-metal joint applications in pipeline or containment vessels for gas, liquid, or solids. Deacon 3100 should be applied to the flange surface or sealing groove. When compression of the flange surfaces occurs, the material will spread to fill surface pits, warps and irregularities.
Heat Cure · Compressible · Operating Temp: to 1600° F (870° C) - Deacon 3300 is a heat curing, compressible, flange joint sealant. This high temperature flange seal will conform to flange face, filling flange gaps better than standard die cut gaskets. This gasket compound will also fill scratches, steam cuts and other minor damage to flange faces. Ideal for metal-to-metal joint applications - steam, hot air, and various chemical environments.
Deacon 4011 is a thermal reactive liquid sealing compound that is used in high temperature and high-pressure applications. In the presence of heat, Deacon 4011 will form a mechanical (“mechanical type”) seal.
Deacon 4011 does not cement joints together; thus, it will not interfere with future repairs of metal-to-metal joints. Deacon 4011 is not affected by thermal cycling. Deacon 4011 is unaffected by thermal cycling.
Turbine Split Casing, Any Metal-to-Metal Joints, Boiler Doors, Leaking Gaskets, Stacks, Flanges, Threaded Fittings, Heat Exchangers, Steam Traps, Gasket Dressing, Sight Glasses, Nuts and Bolts, Stainless Steel Applications, Pressure Vessels.
Ease of application. Achieves seal before full cure. Fast, easy repairs. High pressure tolerance, high temperature tolerance & high chemical resistance. Unaffected by thermal cycling. Improves the sealing capability of standard gaskets. Seals flange irregularities (scratches, warpage, cuts, pits).
Ease of application. Achieves seal before full cure. Fast, easy repairs. High pressure tolerance, high temperature tolerance & high chemical resistance. Unaffected by thermal cycling. Improves the sealing capability of standard gaskets. Seals flange irregularities (scratches, warpage, cuts, pits).
Deacon 770 Liquid or Paste Sealants are thermal-reactive, sealing compounds for threads, gasket dressings and metal-to-metal applications. Ideal for high temperature (200ºF to 950ºF / 93°C to 510°C), high-pressure steams, liquors, hydrocarbons and solvents. Deacon 770 expands in the presence of heat to form a mechanical-type seal and will not interfere with future repairs of metal-to-metal joints.
Advantages: High chemical tolerance. Easy application. Achieves seal before full cure, allowing for fast and easy repairs.
High-pressure, temperature and chemical tolerances (Solvents, Oils, Steam, Liquors, Hydrocarbons). Creates a mechanical seal with high wear resistance. As a gasket dressing: Deacon 770 improves the sealing capability of standard die cut gaskets. Unaffected by thermal cycling. Seal joints in multi-piece gaskets.
Deacon 8875 Standard Paste is a thick, fibrous, thermal reactive paste sealant/refractory hybrid used in high temperature and high-pressure applications. In the presence of heat, Deacon 8875 will expand and form a mechanical (“mechanical type”) seal that is not weak or brittle like ceramics. 8875 won't cement flanges together so it will not interfere with future repairs of metal-to-metal joints. Deacon 8875 is unaffected by thermal cycling.
Application Procedure: Deacon 8875 is troweled onto the sealing surface in a complete, uniform coating. Note: Deacon 8875 will flow filling small voids and surface irregularities, creating a seal between the gasket and the flange surface where most leak problems originate. Deacon 8875 can also be used as a standalone compound on metal-to-metal flanges that are warped, cut, or pitted.
Typical Uses: Turbine Split Casing, Any Metal-to-Metal Joints, Pump Casing, Leaking Gaskets, Boilers, Doors, Steam Traps, Ductwork, Stacks, Flanges, Heat Exchangers, Gaskets Dressing, Exhaust Systems. Deacon 8875 can be used as a gasket dressing to improve the sealing capability of many gaskets. Deacon 8875 can also be applied to many types of gaskets (including spiral wound) to reseal them, thereby prolonging their useful life. Deacon 8875 can be used as the only sealant on low-tolerance metal-to-metal joints.
Deacon 8875-THIN - High-Temperature, High-Pressure Sealants - Easy application, achieves seal before full cure. Fast, easy repairs. High-pressure tolerance, high temperature tolerance, and high chemical tolerance. Hot Air, Solvents, Oils, Steam, Liquors, Hydrocarbons. Creates a mechanical seal. High wear resistance. Unaffected by thermal cycling. Applications as a gasket dressing. Deacon 8875-Thin improves the sealing capability of many gasket materials.
Deacon Mold-Pac can be used in zinc crushes, building installations, machinery installations, HVAC-R, air conditioning / refrigeration, welding and soldering and many more applications. Holds tight, remains plastic, and retains molten Babbitt and low melting point materials.
Applications: Damming compound for pouring Babbitt bearings, vibration suppression, rock crushers, positioning delicate parts, holding solder while soldering wires on generators, aids in positioning during welding/brazing.
